Breakfast

What bed and breakfast is complete without a description of the “breakfast” part?

We serve a hearty, European-style breakfast. Make your requests the previous evening, and feast on a hot breakfast of eggs and bacon, and choose from a selection of cold cuts, cheeses, and home-made jams. There is a variety of breads: full grain, light German rye or English muffins. Fresh-brewed coffee and tea, a selection of seasonal fruit and juices are also offered. If you arrive on Anne’s baking day, there may be some delicious German cakes for you to try, or get a taste of fresh baked bread.

We strive to serve mostly local, organic food, inspired by the 100 Mile Diet , the Slow Food movement and the annual Slow Food Cycle Sunday in Pemberton. At the end of September, Bowen Islanders organized Bowfeast, featuring local food products. Next August, we might try the Cycle Tour of Agassiz in the Fraser Valley.
